Lean Energy Solutions Limited is proud to announce two landmark recognitions: Superbrands East Africa's Choice status for 2024–2026, and certification as a B Corporation. Together, these recognitions affirm two decades of work — from our founding as Lean Solutions Nairobi in 2006 and the establishment of Lean Energy Solutions Ltd in 2007, to today's position as East Africa's one stop energy solution, supplying outsourced steam, heat, chilled water, solar power, and treated water on a pay-as-per-consumption basis.
What These Recognitions Reflect
The Superbrands East Africa's Choice distinction recognises brands that have earned exceptional trust across the region. The B Corp certification — awarded after rigorous independent assessment of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency — places Lean Energy Solutions among a global community of businesses meeting the highest standards of verified impact. They join a record that includes the African Climate Award (2013), Top 100 Mid-Sized Companies Overall Winner (2013), SME of the Year, and ISO 9001:2008 certification.
These recognitions arrive in a milestone year: Lean Energy Solutions has now completed 90 TPH of steam generation capacity for commercial and industrial clients across East Africa, oversees 20 boiler sites across Kenya and Tanzania, and operates from offices in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Our cumulative impact stands at 350,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions reduced, 4 million mandays of employment created, and USD 50 million in foreign exchange saved for Kenya.
